What Does a Cleaner Do Day-to-Day?
This role involves regular cleaning of clinic areas including windows, walls, carpets, and floors. You will dust and polish furniture, and clean consulting rooms and corridors as directed by your supervisor. Emptying bins and keeping toilets clean are also daily tasks, as is changing linen and washing items as required.
Other duties include serving refreshments, washing crockery and cutlery, and handling cleaning supplies and equipment safely. You are expected to report defects in facilities, follow Batho Pele principles and uphold patient rights while carrying out your work.
