The salary is undisclosed, but you can expect a permanent, intermediate position with day shifts and clear career progression opportunities. This job targets professionals with at least three years’ relevant warehouse experience and solid operational skills in logistics, people management, and SHEQ compliance.
Key Responsibilities and Daily Activities
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll report directly to the Warehouse Manager. Your team will include warehouse assistants, clerks, and forklift operators. Day to day, you’ll be responsible for planning and coordinating warehouse space, stock rotation, and optimising inventory management. Your duties also include managing incoming and outgoing goods, enforcing SHEQ and food safety standards, coordinating record keeping, staff training, and collaborating with both internal stakeholders and suppliers. Familiarity with SAGE Evolution and intermediate Excel skills are important as you’ll be required to manage live performance reports and monitor packaging specifications.
Pros
One advantage in this role is the career development on offer. You’ll receive valuable exposure to SHEQ, inventory systems, and vendor management while leading a team. Being part of a well-established FMCG Foods manufacturer allows you to interact with multiple departments and build broad supply chain knowledge.
Cons
On the other hand, the workplace might be fast-paced, with strict food safety expectations and time-sensitive targets. Additionally, because the role is hands-on, you’ll need to be ready for physical work, staff management tensions, and constant multitasking.
Our Verdict
For those with solid FMCG warehouse experience looking for a role that balances office-based reporting with operational team leadership, this is a great opportunity. The pros of career growth, day shift stability, and industry relevance generally outweigh the role’s potential stress points, making it recommended for skilled warehouse professionals who value structure and responsibility.
