The Carer/Social Auxiliary Nurse position offers a rewarding salary typically ranging from ZAR 270,000 to ZAR 329,000 per year. Key responsibilities include assisting clients with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, shopping and light household duties. You’ll also help with medication reminders, support daily routines, and provide much-needed companionship and access to the community.
What You’ll Do Each Day
Your day may begin by travelling to a client’s home and helping them get ready for the day, assisting with washing and dressing. Then, you may help with meal prep or accompany them on shopping errands.
Medication prompts are a regular part of the daily routine, ensuring clients receive ongoing care. Additionally, you provide companionship through social activities and supportive listening.
Part of the job is providing respite services, giving family members well-deserved breaks while still delivering caring support. Every day you help clients feel more independent and connected, promoting dignity at every step.
